Safety
Following a few simple rules, it is easy, safe and legal to race your car on the Memphis Motorsports Park championship quarter-mile, equipped with accurate Compulink timers:
- Helmets required: Snell 2000, Snell 2005 or newer for 13.99 and quicker in the 1/4 mile, or 8.59 and quicker in the 1/8 mile. Effective 1-1-09, Snell K98 and Snell 95 helmets are expired and no longer valid for use in drag racing.
- Seat belts required.
- No shorts, tank tops, open-toed shoes or nylon-type pants allowed.
- For cars faster than 11.49 or 135 mph, please refer to the NHRA Rule Book or call the track office at (901) 358-RACE (7223).
